Wear Face Masks More Comfortably with an Elastic Headband with Buttons

March 30, 2021 by Shelly

Wear Face Masks More Comfortably with an Elastic Headband with ButtonsLike all of you…I’ve been wearing a face mask every time I walk out of my home. It’s been a routine for the past year and I see it continuing for quite some time as America gets vaccinated. Even then, those of us with “weak” immune systems will continue to wear them indefinitely.

The elastic bands on face masks tug and pull on my ears. I find it to be extremely uncomfortable and at times…it sets off migraine headaches for me. While they’re a necessity right now, I knew there had to be a more comfortable way to wear them.

Wear Face Masks More Comfortably with an Elastic Headband with Buttons

After doing some research I found these affordable Elastic Headbands with Buttons over on Amazon. They’re sold in a pack of 3 and come in your basic colors. One pack goes with just about everything in my wardrobe! Unlike other’s that I’ve seen these are “wider” and they don’t flip nor slip around. They’re very comfortable to wear!

There’s a button on each side of the headband near the ear area. You hook your elastic face mask strap onto the button and then thread the strap behind your ear. It pulls on the button instead of your delicate ear!!! I launder mine twice a week by placing them into a mesh lingerie bag and tossing them into my washing machine. I then hang them up to air dry. Easy!!! I don’t recommend tossing into a hot dryer because eat can destroy elastic.

I’ve been using them for over 2 months and love them! I ended up going back and purchasing two more sets…one for my 71+ year old mother and my 35 year old daughter. They love them too! Gone are the days of those elastic bands tugging on your ears! Oh yeah, Thank you mom for modeling the headbands for me!!! HIGHLY recommend them!!!

I have been wearing regular face masks and they can slip. These sound much better, so I shall look them over on Amazon.

Yes these look like something that would work for me and others in my family. I am happy to wear a mask but would like a more comfortable solution. What a clever idea to strap onto a button.

I need this too. My sister and I were talking yesterday that the bands hurt our ears. I am showing this to her today. Thank you.

We couldn’t stand the bands pulling on our ears. The buttons are on the headband and sit right behind your ear. So you hook the elastic band from the face mask onto the button instead of your ear. Oh my gosh, we love them! Plus, they’re great for bad hair days when you just want to pull your hair back.

That’s a great invention. I just put them in my Amazon cart. Will get them when I add enough to get to $25.

I can’t remember if I mentioned this in my post or not. I will hand wash them, hang to dry or I will put them into a mesh lingerie wash bag (purchased at Dollar Tree) to wash them. I like to keep things germ-free as much as possible right now.

I have heard and saw people wearing the headbands and they love them. I don’t go out a lot senior with COPD so my ears have never bother me. I have had both shot now so I hope to start getting out more.
