Tupperware Universal Vegetable Peeler

I use a vegetable peeler several times a week, even more when it’s canning season. I use them to peel eggplants, zucchinis, cucumbers, carrots, red beets, turnips, potatoes, etc. It’s much safer to use a sharp vegetable peeler to remove skin than using a sharp knife. At least, that’s my personal opinion.

For the past 15+ years I’ve been using the Tupperware Universal Vegetable Peeler and love it. Matter of fact, I own three of them and have given them as gifts. They fit comfortably in my small hands and are easy to use. The blade is incredibly sharp and glides through whatever you’re peeling. There’s a little circle on the end that you can use to remove eyes and tough spots on your veggies.

These veggie peelers are the best I’ve ever used and they last a really long time. I had one that didn’t need replaced for 6 years and trust me…I’m hard on my peelers! You can hand wash them to help them stay nice and sharp or wash in the dishwasher. I personally hand wash and air dry. You want to keep them protected just like a sharp knife so I keep mine in my knife drawer.

I’ve used more expensive vegetable peelers and cheaper ones over the years and none of them worked as nicely as the one from Tupperware. Plus…the price point is something that we can all afford. If you’re looking to buy a new one…this is the one I personally buy, use and recommend to others.

I never considered a Tupperware peeler. I am glad to learn that it works so well.

  2. This is one that I would consider. We have a plate of fresh veggies frequently that I peel. Some that I have just don’t work so well anymore and some never worked well.

  3. I have a peeler that I got from a booth at the Stock Show. It doesn’t have that little circle thing but it handles very well and has stayed sharp for the last 5 years. I’ve had many different ones over the years but this is the best one for me. I’ve given it as gifts, too.
