We’re a big gaming family. Almost weekly we sit down as a family to play games. The majority of the ones that we like to play are board games, but every once in awhile we’ll play cards. When selecting a game for family game night it’s important that the game be appropriate for all players. Double check the ages, the number of players needed and the time that will be involved when selecting games to play.

Our family recently had the opportunity to try out the new game REIGN The Final Battle Royal by PlayMonster. This game is for 2 to 4 players ages 8 and up and will take approximately 30-45 minutes to play. We really enjoy board games that don’t take hours to play. Let’s be realistic, we’re all busy these days and 45 minutes is perfect!

We set down as a family and read over all of the instructions. My almost 12 year old daughter understood game play right away but my almost 6 year old son needed help. I agree with their stipulated age requirements of ages 8 and over. It will take you approximately 10 minutes to read over the instructions and they’re easy to understand.
This game is unlike any other board game in our collection. It’s unique and fun to play. I believe that it will appeal to males and females alike. I’m 35 and I can honestly tell you that I enjoyed playing it with the kids, but I enjoyed it even more when a group of adults played it together (all age 30 to 41 years). The reason I bring that up is that I think it’s a nice game for family game night (with older children) or if you’re adults and regularly play games with other adults this would be a great new game to try.

I don’t know this game, but my older son loves strategy games. I think he would love to play this game.
