I served as a Girl Scout from Kindergarten through 12th grade. As an only child it was a great way for me to hang out with girls my own age and do some fantastic things along the way. We went roller skating, ice skating, hiking, camping, dancing to raise money for charity, learned basic cooking & baking skills, went horseback riding, made arts & craft projects, volunteered our time in the community and more. It was a great experience for me.
When my daughter turned 5 years old we enrolled her in Girl Scouts and she’s been a scout ever since. She’s currently in her 6th year and loves the program too! Every year she looks forward to the cookie sale when the girls go out and take orders for the famous Girl Scout Cookies. Last year we won an award for having the most sales in her troop. She worked really hard and was proud of her accomplishment.
Girl Scout Cookies are a complete weakness for my family. My husband loves the Thin Mints, my daughter and I are completely hooked on the Tagalongs and my son enjoys the peanut butter cookies. Have you tried any? If so, which is your favorite flavor?
During the year her troop also participated in an annual candy sale too. All of the money generated from these sales goes towards the Girl’s Scouts program. From the candy sale I highly recommend you try the peanut butter bears. Each chocolate bear is filled with creamy peanut butter. I love letting those little nuggets just melt in my mouth. So good!
I have always enjoyed Girl Scout cookies. My favorite is the Thin MInts.
I got my thin mints from my friend’s daughters this year. Didn’t know about their candy sales, but I love chocolate & peanut butter.
