10 Easy Ways To Keep Your Kitchen Clean

Not everyone is an expert when it comes to cleaning the kitchen. Most of us can not even keep our kitchen clean every time. We spend our time using the kitchen three or even more times a day to cook for our family, friends, and loved ones and it can go crazy in the kitchen at times too. Having an organized and well-kept kitchen adds value to your house, especially if you are looking into putting it into real estate.

Here are some of the basic tips we can share with you in keeping your kitchen clean, the easy way.

10 Easy Ways To Keep Your Kitchen Clean

Hire The Best Cleaning Services in your Area

If you love inviting people over, keep an organized schedule and track when you are expecting people to come over. Some homeowners even consider hiring experts. In Australia for example, people go for the best cleaning services in Melbourne and appreciate how amazing their services are.

Set Your Calendar and Schedule When to use the Kitchen

Make it a habit to schedule when you should be cooking in the kitchen and the cleaning schedule as well. This helps you be organized and making cleaning a habit lets you remember to do them regularly.

Everything in Place

Keep everything sorted out and kept where it should be. By keeping all things in place, it helps you have a clean area or surface where you can freely move around and avoid spillage and accidents. It would also help to immediately clean clutters rather than let them pile up which will be harder to clean afterward.

Have a Trash Bowl / Compost Ready

If you happen to be fixing food items like fruits, vegetables, and others that require you peeling, have compost or a trash bowl ready. After slicing, removing seeds, and peeling, you can immediately throw these items and avoid having to come back and forth to the trash bin. This also lessens any spillage of fruit juice or any liquid too.

CLAYGO

Practice the CLAYGO or Clean as You Go Policy at home and who knows, your kids may do this not only in the kitchen but also in their rooms too. It helps teach your kids to be responsible for disposing of their garbage properly and cleaning up after themselves too.

Clean up Immediately

If you happen to spill water or other liquids on surfaces and floors, clean it up immediately. Spills are harder to remove from surfaces if they dry up and might cause marks that are difficult to remove. Some liquids might even cause the stain to tile surfaces so if you happen to spill any liquid, wipe it dry ASAP.

Wipe the Sink Dry

After washing the dishes, wipe the sink dry and clean. Avoid leaving food clutter or small scraps of food that might block your sink making it more difficult the next time you use it.

Clean on your Spare Time

If you have spare time or if you are waiting for someone, try checking your kitchen and cleaning. You can wipe the surfaces or tabletops or even wash dirty dishes as you wait. It is not just time well spent but also keeps your kitchen clean and smelling fresh.

Clean Your Kitchen Before Using It

Don’t start preparing meals or cooking if you see that your kitchen is a mess. Cooking while looking at dirty kitchen surfaces is dreadful and might be stressful to you too. Aside from that, clutters might cause accidents while cooking. Remember to keep your kitchen squeaky clean before using it.

Keep your Kitchen Minimal and Simple

Avoid having unnecessary items and trinkets in your kitchen. Always keep your kitchen simple, clean, and organized. Keep utensils hidden in drawers and keep your condiments covered and in clean bottles as well. Avoid having unnecessary things on top of your kitchen tables such as children’s books or children’s toys. The kitchen is not a place for kids to play. Always keep your surfaces clean, clutter-free, and dry. Avoid having too many utensils on tabletops to avoid accidents.

Always keep your kitchen clean. Untidy kitchen and tabletops are an open invitation for bacteria, molds, and other viruses. Always keep your kitchen sparkling clean and dry as well to avoid any accidents.

I have a small kitchen in my apartment so there are things that I always do. Everything in my kitchen including drawer has a place and that is where it always go back to. No compost in this building but I use a trash bowl for easy clean up. And I always do my dishes and clean up the kitchen after ever meal. Its just me so it does not take a lot of time. Also when I make my tea in the morning I always fill the tea kettle to the top. After pouring my tea I pour the rest of the water down the drain

  4. These are great tips for keeping a clean and healthy kitchen. The only thing that I would add is to make sure your oven and stove top are cleaned. I also like to make sure that all food and condiments have expiration dates that are clearly marked and I go through my refrigerator weekly to make sure everything is good and anything old is thrown away quickly. I also like the clean as you go tip. I am super picky about a clean kitchen and am scared to death of eating food from a potluck because you don’t know if other people have clean kitchens.
