When I was a little girl I used to assist my grandmother with her home canning activities. I believe I was around 10 years old when I was exposed to canning for the first time. After she passed my father-in-law picked up where Grandma left off. I’m not an expert canner by any means but I’m pretty experienced and I keep up-to-date on the trends.

In early December I was on the hunt for some new pint-size glass mason jars and picked up several 4-packs made by Ball. Why Ball? I’ve used several brands over the years but find Ball to be the most reliable. They don’t crack, chip or break easily. I’ve never had a Ball jar stain or discolor either!
The jars I picked up were from a limited edition called Sharing Jars from their design series Collection Elite. For every package you purchased you automatically donated 4 meals to Feeding America. They come in a unique and elegant shape which made them perfect for my holiday gifting.
Made in the U.S.A. and BPA Free. They came with the new and improved SureTight Lids which helps to keep your canned food sealed for up to 18 months instead of the normal 12. They’re regular mouth and will work with all of your home canning accessories with no problem at all.
So…what did I use them for? I made a double batch of my Aloha Pineapple Jam and presented my delicious homemade jam in these beautiful jars! You can use them for other things (besides canning) like wax poured candles, bath salts, etc. They’re dishwasher, freezer, refrigerator and canning safe!
I’m hoping that when Fall rolls around again that I can find this particular style of mason jars again. My jam looked beautiful inside! I can see using them for jam, jelly, marmalade, relish, pickles, candied fruits, etc. Absolutely perfect for anything you want to gift!

These canning jars do look special. I would love to start canning and use them as gifts.
I’ve always wanted to try making jam and jarring it. We use mason jars for crafting. We have several around the house with flowers in them.
I love these canning jars and I use them for a lot different things around the house. I had no idea that they sold these on Amazon and that is a great price thank you for sharing this info.
