Soothe Sore Throats with Ricola Throat Drops

Ricola Honey-Herb Cough Suppressant Throat DropsDuring the school season my children come down with a lot of coughs, colds, and sore throats. Once one hits they’re miserable and I’m quick to provide them with some soothing relief. We take sore throats seriously in our home and will treat them 3 different ways by running a humidifier, sucking on soothing throat drops and gargling with warm saltwater.

My go-to for throat drops are Ricola Honey-Herb Cough Suppressant Throat Drops. They’re made with a secret blend of Swiss herbal ingredients mixed with Fair Trade honey. For over 80 years they’ve been a trusted company that provides soothing relief from coughs, colds, and sore throats.

You’ll find many different varieties of Ricola Throat Drops out in the retail marketplace and all of them are great. However, me and my family prefer the Honey-Herb. They have a great taste (that even the kids like) and provide soothing that lasts for hours.

When I personally come down with a sore throat I like to make myself a cup of herbal hot tea and toss a honey throat drop inside my cup. Let it sit in there for several minutes, stirring it around with a spoon. I like how it adds flavor to my hot tea while giving my sore throat some added extra relief. You do need to be careful that you don’t swallow it while sipping on the tea.

Ricola Throat Drops are a staple in my home and you’ll always find a few packages in my pantry. Don’t worry, I keep things like this on the very top shelf that my children can’t reach. I recommend never being without because you never know when your next sore throat will hit.
