It’s snowing again in the northeast. It’s been a few years since we’ve gotten battered with snowstorms like this! Last year we had very little snow fall for the entire season. This year we started out slow but once January rolled around…so did the winter storms!
We got pummeled a few times the past 3 weeks. Matter of fact, we had about a foot of snow still in our backyard when the newest snowstorm started dumping on us around 5 AM this morning. This one is a combination of light snow, heavy snow, freezing rain, sleet, rain and back to snow again. It’s a combination of everything that I hate. Blah!
Thanks to my broken arm and hand I can’t go out there and help shovel, plow or snow blow. I have been out a few times with the broom brushing the snow from our 2 porches and off of a few of our solar lanterns. My mom has been out three times shoveling the sidewalk. Hubby will plow our driveway and parking area once he gets home from work tonight with the plow truck.
In the second photo you can see my seashell marble bird bath and how far the snow comes up on that. There’s snow every where. EVERY WHERE! I’m tired of it…tired of seeing WHITE nasty snow outside. Yeah, I hate winter and everything that goes along with it. I definitely live in the wrong part of the country. Did I tell you all that I hate winter yet? I do!
How are all of you fairing who have gotten hit with this latest round of snow and ice doing? I saw on the news that Texas got hit hard!

Although I do like snow,not so much of it. I am glad I do not live in Texas because they really got hammered there. Now that it is March I hope the weather will improve.
WV In my young days the snow we got would be a pain but we got in the car and go. Today you could not get me to go out shovel the car off and try to drive the roads. I have family that are having fun sled riding, snowman. I think snow is for young people.
I really don’t like cold weather and all that comes with it. I retired in the South and yet we get a light snow two days ago. It melted by noon. I don’t like to be cold…. period. I feel sorry for you up there with all that snow. Please stay warm and be careful on that icy ground.
Sorry to hear about all your winter weather. We got 3 inches last night, but mostly have had a dry winter. Last week’s polar vortex make Sunday’s high of 1 degree.
