When I’m out shopping I look for flameless candles that are on clearance and pick them up at a bargain price. I can then decorate them for different seasons throughout the year or give them as gifts when the need arises. A lot of time I can get them for about $3.00 per pillar style candle. Just be patient and keep looking for them at a bargain basement price!
Aqua colored candle on the left – I wrapped a piece of burlap ribbon around the candle and tacked it down with a few spots of hot glue. (make sure your seam is in the back of the candle). Use hot glue to attach a starfish on the front. Let dry.
Ivory candle in the center – I purchased a bag of faux driftwood at my local Dollar Tree store. They’re small irregular-sized pieces. I used hot glue to attach them around the perimeter of my candle. Make sure they’re even at the bottom edge so that your candle sits correctly on a flat surface. Let dry.
Striped candle on the right – I drilled a hole into a seashell and used jute rope to tie it around the candle. If you don’t have a drill you can certainly just glue it onto the center of your jute rope and then tie it around the candle.
Tealight Votive Holder – I purchased the glass tealight holders at Dollar Tree (two for $1.00). I used hot glue to attach the jute rope around the perimeter of the glass tealight holder. I then glued a small seashell onto the front. Easy!
You can find a lot of inexpensive craft supplies at your local dollar-type of stores and/or from Amazon online (if you can’t get out to shop). Our local Dollar Tree and Dollar General Stores have a nice craft section that I always check out when I’m in there. I’ve gotten bags of seashells, faux sea glass, river rocks, rolls of jute, hot glue sticks, rolls of ribbon, stickers, markers, bottled glue, etc. there. Always looking for a bargain!

I would like to try decorating some candles to give to my family. You always come up with beautiful designs and ideas for items which also do not cost a lot of money to make.
Good tip on using the Dollar Store for arts and crafts supplies. I have one nearby and have found that I can always find what I want for craft supplies at such a good price.
Those are beautiful. You could make a second living at a boutique store selling your beautiful crafts. I really like these.
Very good looking candles. I love getting craft supplies from the dollar store.
