Chex Mix Muddy Buddies Snack Mix

February 4, 2021 by Shelly

How many of you love snacking on the Chex Mix Muddy Buddies Snack Mix? These days you can buy it pre-made at the grocery store but I still prefer the homemade version. When you make it at home you get more chocolate and a sweeter taste. Sure…it requires you to make it and may be more expensive to do so, but it tastes 100% better than the pre-made bagged stuff. At least in my opinion.

I love snacking on Muddy Buddies and when my Mom spent the weekend with us I got her to whip up a large batch of it. I could seriously eat it for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It has the perfect sweetness for me and is oh, so satisfying when it comes to chocolate and snacking! Yeah, sign me up!!!

Chex Mix Muddy Buddies Snack Mix Recipe

Chex Mix Muddy Buddies Snack Mix Recipe

3 cups of Rice Chex Cereal
3 cups of Corn Chex Cereal
3 cups of Chocolate Chex cereal
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1/4 cup butter
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups powdered 10X sugar

In a large mixing bowl combine together all of the Chex cereals until combined; set aside.

In a large microwaveable bowl melt together the chocolate chips, peanut butter and butter until smooth. Do this on the high setting at 30 second intervals until smooth and creamy. Remove from microwave and stir in the vanilla extract until combined.

Pour the chocolate mixture into the mixing bowl that contains the cereal. Use a large spoon and stir until everything is combined and the chocolate mixture is coating all of the goodies in the mixing bowl. Pour the confectioner’s sugar into the bowl and stir again until all ingredients are well combined and everything is coated in the confectioner’s sugar.

Cover bowl. You can store in the refrigerator or at room temperature like we do.

Love any kind of CHEX MIX! I have to agree store bought just does not make it. They don’t use the spices or the extra that you do at home. What ever it says I alwats add extra so so good
