Don’t toss those empty Valentine’s Day candy boxes away! No, don’t do it! You can easily upcycle them into new Wall and Door Decor and it only takes a few minutes of your time! They look adorable hanging on your front door or hanging on a suction cup from a front window. An easy way to add some Valentine’s Day romance to your home decor.

The Valentine’s Day Door Hanger that I’m showing in my top photo was made with a metal (tin) heart-shaped container from Dove Chocolates. Wash it out and towel dry. I used a drill to make a small hole on the bottom part of the container. Cut a piece of red satin ribbon and threaded it through the hole to make a hanging cord. I used my hot glue gun to tack the knotted end down inside the container.
My container already had a blue satin ribbon bow so I didn’t need to add one on the front. Use your glue gun to glue the top half to the bottom half so that it stays firmly together once you hang it up. It’s now ready for hanging.
If your using paper candy boxes you can use a hole punch to punch a hole in the bottom container. Then thread satin ribbon through the hole to make your hanging loop. Glue the two halves together. You can decorate the front or leave it as-is.
You can use them to decorate your front door (with a large one like what’s shown in my photo) or group smaller ones together in a large front window using small suction cups. Get the kids in on the action and upcycle those empty Valentine’s Day candy boxes into new home decor!

This is a great idea. So many of us receive pretty boxes and don’t know what to do with them. I love all your creative suggestions.
These boxes are so pretty that I ate throwing them out. What a nice way to reuse that would also be a fun craft to do with kids.
Reuse, recycle, repurpose! This fits all three categories. Cute idea.
I have two of those from last year. I kept them because I liked them so much.
This is a great idea. I will have to try it. Thank you.
This is a cute idea. I love creative suggestions and these are great
What a great ideal! I grew up in the time where you got a box of candy when empty it became a storage box. Sewing supplies, crafting etc etc or was trashed
