Growing old isn’t easy. As you age you lose a lot of your mobility. When I was younger I could bend over, squat, sit and reach for things with ease. Now that I’m 71 years old, those tasks are much more difficult and can often throw you off-balance. I’m always looking for products to make my life easier especially within my beauty routine.

A few months ago I started with lower back and hip pain which has made bending and reaching difficult. Even though I’m an older woman, I still shave my underarm and legs. I could no longer do it while standing up in the shower and needed a better (and safer) solution.
Over on Amazon I found the Remington Smooth and Silky Wet & Dry Shaver for $10.00 and decided to give it a try. For ten bucks, I had nothing to lose. After placing my order it arrived 2 business days later. I read the instructions printed on the package and popped in 2 AAA batteries. It’s cordless and runs on battery power.
It features aluminum blades which are hypoallergenic. You can use it to shave your underarms, arms, legs, bikini area and I’ve used it on my face to get rid of peach fuzz. You can use it in the shower, in the bathtub or use it dry which really appealed to me and my needs. It’s compact in size and light-weight, perfect for traveling or tossing into your beauty bag.
I’ve been using my new Remington Women’s Wet/Dry Shaver every week and love it. I love it so much that I purchased 3 more (one for Jenelle, Shelly and my great-granddaughter G). Primarily I’ve been using it for dry shaving by sitting in a chair. I pull my ottoman over and place a towel on top. I then shave my legs. No water, no shaving cream. Once I’m done I toss the towel into the laundry.
Safety-wise it’s fantastic! So far I haven’t received any nicks, cuts, abrasions or skin irritations at all. You can use it all over your body and it fits comfortably in your hand. There are no cords to get tangled in, it doesn’t need recharging every other day, etc. Mine is still running great on the first set of batteries that I placed into it.
I feel so strongly about the Remington Smooth and Silky Wet & Dry Shaver that I purchased from Amazon for $10.00 that I wanted to tell all of our readers about it. For that price, it’s a beauty bargain and it works great! One of the best shavers I’ve ever used!

Hmmm, I am going to have to look into this. I have a different brand of wet/dry shaver but it is pretty big and a little unwieldy for me, this looks like a much better option. I hear you on the hip issue deal, I was scheduled for an arthoscopy and labral tear repair in late March which was obviously cancelled.
I am so adding this to my Amazon wish list. I really need a new razor and this price is great. Thank you for sharing this thorough review.
