If you’ve been following this blog over the past 5 1/2 years, you’ll already know that Dorcy is my husband’s favorite lighting company. He’s been a fan of their products before I even started reviewing for them! Hubby is a licensed HVAC supervisor, electrician, plumber and contractor, he knows that Dorcy makes quality products!

Dorcy Ultra HD Series 530 Lumens Blacklight + Headlamp

For this review my husband received the Dorcy Ultra HD Series 530 Lumens Blacklight + Headlamp to check out for all of you. He was super-stoked to get this one because he had no blacklights in his toolbox or work shed. NONE. He said that you really don’t know how much you would use something like this until you actually have one. He loves it!

To activate the UV Mode: Hold down bottom for three seconds to activate.

The extra feature of this light is 2 UV (Ultra Violet) lights that can be used to detect counterfeit currency, blood, urine and special markings on driver licenses.

Hubby manages a large senior adult apartment community. He’s responsible for all of the HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, etc. that goes on in every single unit. He manages a team of service techs and other support staff to keep the community and property running smoothly. It’s a big job that he’s been doing almost all of his adult life.

Dorcy Ultra HD Series 530 Lumens Blacklight + Headlamp

There are times they have to go into a resident’s apartment to do work while they live there and/or when they move in/out. Last week he gutted one apartment due to odors that they couldn’t remove. Well…thanks to this Blacklight + Headlamp he was able to solve the problem. The carpeting in the one bedroom was soaked clear down to the floor boards with urine. The previous resident had lived in the unit for 14 years. He ended up having a company come in and tear out all of the carpeting and padding. They super-cleaned the floor boards, left everything dry and this week the unit will get all new padding & carpeting. He was able to see the “issue” thanks to this headlamp!

Just for fun I was wearing it in our home and guess what? I discovered something I didn’t know with my one throw blanket. It’s in a beach design with coral, starfish, seahorses, seashells, etc. printed on it. Well, if you turn off all of the lights and turn the blacklight on you’ll discover hidden designs of additional starfish and coral. Very cool. Who Knew? LOL

    2000 Lumen Adventure Max Lantern because it would be really good to have it and so it’s nice to have.

    There are a lot of state parks in my area and they are really nice to visit.
