If you’ve been following this blog over the past 5 1/2 years, you’ll already know that Dorcy is my husband’s favorite lighting company. He’s been a fan of their products before I even started reviewing for them! Hubby is a licensed HVAC supervisor, electrician, plumber and contractor, he knows that Dorcy makes quality products!

Today we’re featuring the Pro Series Motion Activated 300 Lumens Headlamp from Dorcy. It features a high/low switch and infrared sensor on/off switch. With 300 lumens it will give you a runtime of approximately 5 hours and 30 minutes and is weather resistant.

What’s really cool about this headlamp is that you can use it in on/off lighting mode or via the motion activated mode. This gives the user a lot of versatility while remaining hands-free. The entire thing is very light-weight and comfortable to wear thanks to the adjustable head strap. As an added bonus the headlamp comes with 3 AAA batteries so it can be used right out of the package.

You’ll find that it has a pivotal head for directional lighting and the battery pack is located in the back to help distribute weight. My husband said it’s so light-weight and comfortable that you’ll forget that you’re wearing it. The powerful beam allows the user to see for up to 76 meters.

Two weeks ago my husband wore his new headlamp while cleaning the furnace and changing out the filter. Our furnace sits in a corner in our basement that has very poor lighting. This headlamp gave him enough lighting to see what he was doing and was comfortable for him to wear. This headlamp is going to come in handy as hubby gets some work done down in our basement and he has a few projects up in our attic too.
