2020 has been an unforgettable year. Thanks to the China virus, Covid-19, we’ve had our lives changed in ways that we’ve never thought possible. We now social distance, wear face coverings when we go out, continually wash our hands, do temperature checks three times a day, and we’re home schooling both of our children for the first time.

A few months ago I introduced my 11 1/2 year old daughter to journaling as a way to relieve stress and a way to put her thoughts on paper. Over the past few months she’s really enjoyed it and has continued with it.
Recently she’s received the Express Yourself Joyful Journaling for Kids book by Christine Boucher, designed by Suzanne Good Hazard, from Dover Publications. ISBN: 9780486837253.
Book Synopsis: More than 100 colorful pages offer dozens of engaging prompts to help tweens and teens explore ways to maintain a positive outlook on life. With lots of space to make lists, add pictures, and express their thoughts and feelings, kids can identify positive things about themselves and others while journaling on a variety of fun and meaningful topics.
My daughter has been really enjoying her new journal and it has really inspired her to work on it almost daily. I often catch her answering some of the questions, writing down her thoughts, drawing pictures in it, and adding photos to the book. It has become her own personal treasure and something she can look back on later in life.
The Express Yourself Joyful Journaling for Kids book would make a great birthday or holiday gift for any child on your gift giving list.
