Chocolate, Peanut Butter and Marshmallow Brownies

Chocolate, Peanut Butter and Marshmallow BrowniesThese chocolate, peanut butter and marshmallow brownies are super-easy to make! We cheated with this recipe and used a pre-packaged fudge brownie mix (purchased at the local grocery store) and then doctored it up with some of our favorite toss-in goodies!

You’ll need to purchase a box of chocolate fudge brownie mix and follow the mixing instructions on the back of the package. We like our brownies sweet so we tossed in 1/4 cup of semi-sweet chocolate morsels and 2 tablespoons of creamy natural peanut butter. You’ll want to use a spoon, not an electric mixer when mixing-in your toss-ins.

Spray your baking dish with a little bit of non-stick baking spray. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Pour brownie batter into your prepared baking dish. Use a spatula to smooth it down into one even layer. Place miniature marshmallows into the top of the batter leaving some of the marshmallow exposed. You can add in as many marshmallows that you would like.

Place baking pan into a preheated 350 degree F. oven. You’ll want to follow the baking time printed on the package as its pretty accurate even with the added toss-ins. The brownies are done when the center springs back when lightly touched. Remove from oven and let sit in the baking pan to cool. Once cool cut into squares and place into an airtight container.

You can toss-in all kinds of things to a basic brownie mix and make it something fantastic! Here’s a few of our favorite choices: semi-sweet chocolate chips, white chocolate chips, sliced peanuts, creamy peanut butter, miniature marshmallows, dried cherries, dried blueberries, sliced almonds, cashews, etc. Get creative!
