It is recommended that you use a standard set of 24 colored pencils if you wish to follow the numbered guide. I personally like using gel pens and used similar colors which worked out fine.  If giving the book as a gift I would recommend that you gift a new set of colored pencils to go along with it.

The skin color of all people has been left un-numbered so that you can use colors to suit you.  There’s a small tips and techniques section in the front of the book for new colorists along with the books introduction. The designs in the book are very detailed and unique. Each one will take you some time to complete.
