I’m a big fan of spreading various butters on my toasted bagels, rolls, breads, pancakes, French toast, English muffins, etc. I enjoy using apple butters, pumpkin butters and nut butters of various flavors. They take the usual dull foodie item and turn it into a real treat.
Recently I had the opportunity to try out the Healthy Crunch Chocolate Banana Sunseed Butter. It’s gluten-free, Non-GMO, peanut-free, keto certified, and Vegan. One 12 oz. jar contains 23 servings. A 1-Tbsp. serving contains 75 calories with 1 mg. sodium (for those who are watching their sodium levels this is fantastic). It contains 50% less sugar than the leading chocolate spread.
Over the past few weeks I’ve spread it onto all kinds of different things. Toasted bagels, English Muffins, soft pretzels, and it makes for a fantastic Chocolate Banana Sunseed Butter & Jelly sandwich! Holy cows, 100 times better than your traditional PB&J sandwich! Yesterday I put a tablespoon of it in my plain vanilla yogurt and stirred it around. It was equally delicious.
I personally like it chilled so I store my opened jar in the refrigerator. It’s been really hot in the northeast, so I recommend refrigerating it once opened. It’s really easy to spread and has a nice spreadable consistency to it. The flavor is out-of-this-world delicious! I’ve never had a chocolate spread that is flavored with banana until now. It’s now my go-to when I want a chocolate spread.
