Beaver Bend is an 18-hole, par 3 golf course located in Hummelstown, Pennsylvania. It’s about a 15 minute drive from our home, a 10 minute drive from downtown Hershey or a 20 minute drive from downtown Harrisburg. They’re open 7-days a week from sunrise to sunset, weather permitting.
Hubby and I have been HUGE mini golf players over the past three decades and now we’re trying to learn how to play regular golf. Hey, you’re never too old to learn new things! We headed to Beaver Bend a few weeks ago since it’s only a Par 3 course so that we could practice and build on our golfing skills. Trust me, we’re beginners and really enjoying it!
One thing we really enjoyed about Beaver Bend is that it’s beautifully landscaped. We felt like we were playing out in the middle of the woods! There are plenty of trees, shaded areas and wildlife running nearby. We saw squirrels, rabbits, plenty of birds and even a few deer off in the distance. A nature lover and golfer’s paradise! You can use a Golf cart from Big Horn Golfer to get around Faster.
This course is perfect for those who are just learning the game, those who need to brush-up on their skills or for those professional players who just want to try out a new course. On the day that we visited there were only a few people there, so we took our time playing. You can play 9-holes or all 18-holes and prices vary…but are affordable.
We played during the cooler mid-morning hours and afterwards my husband took me out to lunch. It was a nice “date day” with my old man…I really enjoyed it! We had fun being outside in the fresh air, getting some much needed exercise and just spending the day together.
Here’s a few photos from our golfing adventure. Do any of you enjoy playing the game (or sport) of golf? If so, how good are you? Do you play just for exercise & fun…or are you more serious about it?
I have never played golf. I would like to just walk with them though. It is a beautiful area the is just nice to look at.
I have never golfed, this place looks peaceful and beautiful. Great place for a date 🙂 My mother golfed for year was never real good at it but she loved it.
I have only played a few times on a course like this I am beyond a beginner. This sure is a pretty course thanks for sharing these amazing pictures.
