Romeo will be turning 1 year old later this month and like all kittens he’s very playful. We try to provide him with a lot of different toys and activities to keep him happy and healthy. It’s important as “cat parents” that we rotate in-and-out his toys on a regular basis. That keeps things interesting and fun.

Last month I purchased the Pop n’ Play Interactive Cat Toy (as seen on TV) from Amazon for a great price. Romeo really enjoys toys that provide unpredictable movements which gives him interactive play. The toy includes interchangeable mouse and feather toys, so you can change them out on a regular basis. Basically, its a motorized peek-a-book play toy and you need to provide the four C batteries.
You can set it to make chirping sounds or put it on silent mode if you prefer the peace and quiet. There is a 15-minute auto shut-off timer so that you don’t wear out the batteries when it’s not being used. It works on all floor surfaces: carpet, tile, hardwood floors, cement, etc. The 360 degree dome design is great for households with multiple cats. They can play from any angle.
We set this up for Romeo and he loves it. He will play with it for brief periods several times a day. Every few days I change out the two included toys: the mouse and feathers. This keeps him really interested and if I had to guess, I think he prefers the colorful feathers but plays with them both.
The Pop n’ Play Interactive Cat Toy is a great investment if you’re looking for a toy that your feline friend can play with anytime he/she wants. It’s one of those toys that they will want to play with over and over again. Not one that will collect dust in a few days after it no longer holds their interest. I would love to see a bigger set made & sold in the future that includes other interchangeable things. The more variety, the more entertainment for your kitty.

I think even my senior cat would like this and it would be good for him to be more active.
