Steep Echo Sorbet Repose Recipe

September 12, 2020 by Jenelle

Steep Echo Sorbet Repose RecipeLast summer I invested in a homemade ice cream maker and my family loves it. A lot of people use their ice cream makers only during the summertime but I’ve been using mine year round. It’s really easy to make your own homemade ice cream and sorbet once you have one.

I really enjoy anything lemon flavored during the hot summer months like iced tea, ice cream, lemon meringue pie, sorbe, fruit smoothies, flavored ice, sno-cones, gelato, lemon bars, etc. It’s just refreshing.

Today’s guest post recipe is courtesy of Steep Echo. You can visit the company’s website to learn more about them and their products.

Steep Echo teas take your sorbet to a new level. Instead of using water to create the base, I brew tea and create the syrup base from the reduction. Easy — but taste is fresh and refined.

Steep Echo Sorbet Repose Recipe

4 cups of water
3 Steep Echo Repose sachets
1 cup sugar
Lemon zest (two lemons)
3/4 to 1 cup of lemon juice

In a medium saucepan, boil the water and add the facets to steep for 10 minutes. Remove sachets, add lemon zest and sugar. Bring to a boil and then simmer for 10 minutes to reduce the mixture. Add lemon juice. I like tart over sweet so I would add 1 cup of lemon juice. If you would like a sweeter version — reduce to 3/4 cup. Process in ice cream maker. Garnish with mint leaves or rose petals.

Sounds like such a light and refreshing treat with so much lemon flavor. Something that I would like to try.

Great flavors in this. Almost makes me want an ice cream maker.

I remember when I was a kid we made homemade ice cream in one of those old fashioned makers that you have to hand crank, I have not had homemade ice cream since then. I would so love to try this sorbet recipe and I had no idea that you could buy these ice cream makers on Amazon. I would so love to have the frozen yogurt makers too.

Have not made ice cream before but have to admit if I had a machine I would make this sorbet. It sounds so refreshing
