I enjoy visiting flea markets, yard sales, second-hand stores, antique shops, etc. when we travel. It’s always fun to find a hidden treasure at a bargain basement price! Especially if that hidden treasure is brand new, never used!!! I love finding those type’s of deals.
Last month we took a weekend road trip and along the way I stopped into a second-hand store to shop around. This store was unlike other’s that I normally visit. It was extremely clean, neat and well organized. They had slightly used and new items. They had no junk…if you know what I mean!
I found six 18″ tall heron (bird) figures and purchased all six of them for $2.00 each. I brought them home and sprayed them with two coats of clear acrylic sealer. I have then placed them outside around our property in my flower beds and garden areas. They look adorable! I purchased the sea urchin ceramic planter which was also brand new for half price so it came down to $4.99. The seahorse trinket box with rhinestones is absolutely gorgeous! It stands about 4″ tall and opens up. I keep a precious ring inside it and have it sitting on my vanity. The resin seashell heart-shaped trinket box was only $1.00 and I picked that up for my granddaughter. She has it sitting on her bedside table at home.
I need to get some potting soil into the sea urchin planter this weekend. I want to put one of my aloe vera plants inside it. I’m going to put this planter in our living room next month once our home renovation has been completed. Yeah! Some great finds!
What kind of bargains and deals have you found lately? Where did you find them? Do you enjoy shopping second-hand stores? Flea markets? Antique Shops?
No great deals for this week but I am so impressed by your finds. What good additions to your coastal theme. I really like your trinket box.
I enjoy looking at what you have found. They are great deal. I haven’t been to a store since March. I would love to go soon.
You found lots of neat stuff. I haven’t been in a store in 6 months so have nothing to report.
