Peach Bavarian Gelatin Salad Dessert

September 24, 2020 by Shelly

Peach Bavarian Gelatin Salad DessertThis Peach Bavarian Gelatin Dessert is really easy-to-make and only requires a few ingredients. When I make this recipe I make it a day ahead of time to allow the gelatin to set up and to fully chill. It was a big hit at our backyard cookout and pool party last month, so I wanted to share the recipe with all of you. I’ll definitely be making it again soon.

You’ll need a gelatin mold to make this recipe. The one that I prefer to use is from Tupperware and I’ve had it for a few years. It’s dishwasher, refrigerator and freezer safe. In my honest opinion, you won’t find a better gelatin mold! Once you prepare the dessert I recommend at least 4 hours of refrigeration time so that it fully sets before serving it.

Peach Bavarian Gelatin Dessert Recipe

2 – 15 oz. cans of sliced Peaches in syrup
6 oz. Peach gelatin mix (two 3 oz. boxes)
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 cups boiling water
1/2 tsp. pure vanilla extract
8 oz. tub frozen whipped topping, thawed
non-stick baking spray

Spray your Tupperware gelatin mold lightly with non-stick baking spray and set aside.

For the first part of this recipe you’ll only be using 1 can of the peaches. Drain syrup from peaches reserving 2/3 cup of  syrup/juice. Place the slices on your cutting board and chop into small pieces, set aside.

In a large mixing bowl dissolve the gelatin mix and granulated sugar in boiling water, stirring until all of the sugar and gelatin has completely dissolved. Stir in the reserved syrup/juice until blended. Cover bowl and place into the refrigerator until it has slightly thickened. This process took 40-50 minutes for me.

Stir the vanilla extract into the thawed whipped topping until blended. Gently fold the whipped topping into the gelatin mixture. Fold in the chopped peaches.

Pour the entire mixture into your prepared gelatin mold (make sure you lightly spray it with non-stick baking spray). Place the cover on top. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours (best to refrigerate it overnight) before serving. I like to un-mold it onto a round serving tray or large dinner plate.

Open the second can of sliced peaches, drain away all of the syrup and juice. Place the sliced peaches around the perimeter of your gelatin salad. Serve immediately.

Notes: When serving cut it by single wedge and give each person one slice of peach from the perimeter along with their wedge. I like to place it on top. You’ll want to refrigerate any leftovers.

I have a new version of this mold. It is similar to Tupperware. Now I will use it to make this great salad. The girls can handle this recipe. Thank you for the idea.

I agree with ellen that these kinds of mold were very popular. I like the flavors in this one.

Oh gosh I remember when gelatin mods were all the rage. It seems so many of the recipe disappeared and some were really good like the one you have featured. I have always liked jello dishes and your peach looks great.
