This year I opted to do the majority of my children’s school shopping online due to the pandemic. It took me a lot longer to find the items I needed and wanted. Things were sold-out and other things were on back order. On top of that mess, I paid a lot more than what I typically do. Those shipping and handling charges can really put a dent into your budget and I’m certainly not spending $75 or $100 at a particular retailer to just get free shipping. I hope that this pandemic is over with when the start of the school year rolls around next year. It was a total pain in the butt this year but I wanted to stay safe and keep my children safe too.
I know how you feel. I need items but not enough to make their free shipping minimum. I either don’t get it, wait until I have enough for free shipping or just brave it and go get one thing and get out of the store. I can’t imagine getting children ready for school.
I agree that at times it was hard to find the correct items at a good price, but I too did my shopping online. I cannot believe that it is already the last full week in August. Without the usual school schedule I am somewhat off-kilter. I am looking forward to all the art and food posts.
