I was 14 years old when my mother taught me how to do embroidery. When I was growing up all teenage girls were taught crochet, quilting, knitting, sewing and embroidery. The first project that I completed was a set of pillowcases followed by a matching dresser scarf. Over the years I’ve completed over 50+ projects with most of them being bed and bath linens.

I enjoy sitting down in the evening and working on an embroidery project. It’s a great way relax after a long day. I’m currently working on pillowcases that I’ll be gifting to a bride & groom this fall. As soon as that project is done I’ll be diving into the Plant Lady Embroidery Book and already have a few projects in mind.
The motifs are broken down into sections: Roses, Orchids & Chrysanthemums, Spring Flowers, Summer Flowers, Autumn & Winter Flowers, Flower Branches, Fruit Trees, Herbs, Wildflowers & Mushrooms, Cacti & Succulents, Tropical Plants, Foliage Plants, Aquatic Plants and English Garden.
Additional sections include: Project Inspiration Gallery, Tools & Materials, Getting Started, Embroidery Stitch Guide, How to Use the Book, Thread Conversion Chart and the Motifs & Templates.
I’ve been wanting to work on a few new table runners for my dining room table and these motifs are perfect for that. I just placed an order for some fabric and lace so that I can stitch up my table runners and then get busy transferring a few of these motifs onto it. You can use the motifs to make all kinds of different projects: bed linens, bath linens, table linens, tote bags, decorate pockets on shirts & jackets, scarves, etc. The motifs are classic and timeless! I can’t wait to get started.
