The Perfect Pairing with Morning Coffee – Pepperidge Farm Chessmen Butter Cookies
Last month I visited the Pepperidge Farm outlet down in Lancaster County. I get down there 2-3 times a year and stock-up on their breads. I love buying their Swirl Breads and freezing them for later use. They’re the BEST when it comes to making French toast and I highly recommend you trying them! Seriously, their out-of-this-world good when used in your favorite French toast recipe!!!

While in the store they were running a sale on the Pepperidge Farm Chessmen Butter Cookies. They’re regularly priced $3.89 per package and were currently on sale (outlet price) for $2.50. Another shopper was stocking up on them (she bought 8 packages of them) and told me that I really need to try them.
Well, I purchased 4 packages that day and brought them. Oh my gosh…they’re delicious! I was totally missing out all these years! The butter cookies remind me of the old-fashion cookies that my grandma used to make when I was a little girl. Of course, her’s weren’t all fancy looking like these!
Each package contains 24 butter cookies that have been artfully crafted. They have a distinct buttery taste and are golden-baked. These are not soft & chewy cookies. They have a little crisp to them without being hard. Even with my jaw and chewing problems, I’ve been able to enjoy them with no issues at all.
Every morning I like to sit down with a cup of coffee and these butter cookies are my new favorite thing to enjoy with it. I’ve been hooked on them since trying them! We’re going to go back down to Lancaster County next month and guess what? I’ll be stocking up on them. This way I can enjoy them with my morning coffee now and then during the wintertime I’ll enjoy them with a big mug of hot cocoa. Delicious!
