LEGO Fest and Expo in Philly

Last week I was cleaning out some of my digital files from all of the places that we’ve visited over the past ten years. I had saved over 10,000 photographs and definitely needed to downsize them. While going through them I found a few photos from when we visited LEGO Fest and Expo in Philadelphia several years ago.

My husband loved playing with LEGO’s when he was a young boy. He then passed on that love to our daughter when she was growing up and now to both of our grandchildren. Our almost 5 year old grandson can’t get enough of them!

The grandchildren have a play room that they enjoy when visiting our home. In that room my husband has 2 large Rubbermaid tubs full of Lego’s. Some are building sets from 20 years ago and some were purchased earlier this year. They’re all mixed together and the kids love sitting down and building new creations with them. Matter of fact, we have an official LEGO kid’s table in that room too!

We drove down to Philly for the LEGO event and spent 3 hours at the Expo. They had hundreds of different buildings, vehicles, airplanes, cartoon characters, movie characters, etc. on display that were all built using Lego’s. It was quite something to see! Who knew you could build all of those different things with those tiny building blocks!

We’re hoping that another LEGO Expo & Fest Event will visit our area again in the near future. We would love to take our grandchildren down to see it if it ever comes around again. Have any of you ever attended one?
