How many of you like to get together with your friends and have a fun game night? What about getting together with adult family members? If you answered yes to either of these questions, I’ve got a HOT new game to tell you about today! Let me introduce you to Camera Roll by the great folks over at Endless Games. This game is for people ages 12 and older and you’ll need 3 or more players to play it.
* Complimentary game received for review. This post may contain affiliate links.
Game Contents: 238 Camera Roll Subject Cards, 50 Camera Roll Search Up Cards, 30-Second Sand Timer, Dry-Erase Marker, Score Card and Instruction Sheet.
The game is fairly easy to play and is a lot of fun. You’ll need to gather up players who take a lot of photos on their cellphones. These days…that’s just about everyone that I know. You can play the game a variety of different ways, including a few ways we came up with on our own or follow the instructions that come with the game. You can award points to the person who found a photo the quickest or who had the best photo that was shown.
One of the things I like about the game is the reusable dry-erase score card. There are no paper or pens to deal with. Second…I like that its a card game and not a board game. Why you might ask? It’s easier for us to take along with us when we travel. The game is compact so you can easily fit it into your luggage, travel bag or take it with you when you go camping.
Object of the Game: Points are scored by finding pictures on your phone that match the subject or phrase on the card. There are 3 ways to score points on every turn:
1. A point is awarded to everyone who can find an appropriate picture for the card within 30 seconds.
2. Additional point is awarded to the player who finds their photo first.
3. Additional point is awarded to the player with the BEST photo for the card as decided by the Boss.
The player with the most points after everyone has had a chance to be the Boss for one card, wins that round. They recommend playing 3 rounds per game but you can increase that according to the number of players that you have. The most points after all rounds have been played is the winner!
We’ve reviewed several games from Endless Games over the past year and this one is one of their best games. The more you play it…the better you get at playing it. Plus, you never play the same game twice! If you have teenagers if your family, this would be a great game for teens to play as a group or teens with their parents. I can see this game being a HUGE hit on college campuses too.
