We recently had the opportunity to try out the Path of Life Cilantro Lime Rice Blend with Red Onion, Fire Roasted Corn and Red Bell Pepper. Each bag has 10 oz. and you keep it frozen until ready-to-use. Each package has 2 servings with 160 calories per serving.

Microwave: Gently massage bag to break up frozen pieces. Place unopened bag slightly off center in microwave. Do not pierce bag. Cook on high for 3 1/2 minutes. Let stand in microwave for an additional minute before carefully removing. The product will be hot. Open carefully and serve.

Stove-Top: Gently massage bag to break up frozen pieces. Bring 1/2 cup of water to a boil in a 2 quart nonstick pot. Pour contents of bag into pot, stir and return to a boil. Reduce to simmer. Cover. Cook for 5 minutes, stir occasionally. Remove from heat. Serve immediately.

We followed the directions on the back of the packaged and prepared it in the microwave. It only took 3 1/2 minutes and it was done! You don’t thaw out this product before cooking it which saves time on those busy nights when you need something quick. The Cilantro Lime Rice Blend was very flavorful and moist. There was nothing dry or clumpy about it. It tasted like I had spent 2 hours whipping it up from scratch.

This rice blend would be perfect served alongside your favorite fish. We had it for dinner along with grilled cod and everything was delicious. It has a really unique flavor which was a nice change from the traditional boring rice.
