How many of you like to get together with your family and friends to host a friendly game night? Do you enjoy playing card games that are unique and different? Dropsy is a fun balancing card game that everyone in the family can play! It’s recommended for ages 7 and up…but my 5 year old grandson had fun playing it too!

With this game players take turns drawing cards until someone gets THREE of the same color. But there’s a twist…Instead of discarding the cards you don’t want, you must hold ALL of your cards, and you must hold them in the manner directed on the card. You don’t want to commit a Dropsy and drop your cards or you’ll have to start over!
Example: Under your chin, on your hand, on your head, under your arm, inside your elbow or between your fingers.
The game comes with 108 cards and 1 instruction sheet. The instructions are really easy to understand and you’ll get the gist of the card game quickly. To win the game you keep collecting and holding cards until one player places 3 matching color cards in front of them without dropping any cards. That player is the declared winner!
We’ve been spending a lot of time outside this summer and hanging in the swimming pool. Once evening arrives we move to the front porch or back deck…depending on the weather. As a family we enjoy playing quick and easy card games and Dropsy is definitely that. Plus…it’s just plain fun!!!
You need at least 2 players to play the game. We’ve had as many as 5 players and it was still fast and fun. This is the type of game you can play at home, take to grandma’s house or take it along with you when you travel. Since it’s a card game…it doesn’t take up a lot of space. I think it would make a GREAT gift for any child on their birthday and it’s never to early to start thinking about Christmas.
