Our family loves root beer ice pops and every time we make them we use the recipe from McCormick. You can find it on their website and its below. We use plastic ice pop molds that we purchased from Amazon but you can find them in a lot of offline retail stores too. Their recipe uses lemon juice but we totally omit that when we make them.

1 cup granulated sugar
3 cups hot water
1 Tbsp. McCormick Root Beer Concentrate
1 tsp. McCormick Pure Vanilla Extract
1 tsp. lemon juice

In a large mixing bowl stir together the granulated sugar and hot water until all of the sugar has been dissolved. Takes a minute or two. Stir in the McCormick Root Beer Concentrate, McCormick Pure Vanilla Extract and the lemon juice.

I like to use a funnel to pour the liquid into our popsicle molds. I fill them 90% full. Place the stick inside and then the seal to the base. Place ice pop molds into the tray so that they stay upright during the freezing process. It will take 2-4 hours for them to freeze.

Tip: To remove ice pop from the mold run the plastic mold under hot tap water for 10-20 seconds. The cover will slide right off. Enjoy!

  2. Nice way to cool down as we head to those hot summer days. I did not realize that McCormick had a root beer concentrate.

I am not a fan of root beer but I will use this recipe with other flavors. This too easy and I have the molds.

  4. We’ve had a few 90+ degree days already. These would be so yummy on a hot day.
