Path of Life Riced Cauliflower Blend with Peas, Carrots, and Red Bell PepperPath of Life’s heat-it and eat-it frozen quinoa, rice, and veggie blends are the epitome of simple. * Complimentary product received for review.

We recently had the opportunity to try out the Path of Life (not so fried) Riced Cauliflower Blend with Peas, Carrots, and Red Bell Pepper. It’s gluten-free and each 10 oz. package contains approximately 3.5 servings. Serving Size is 3/4 cup with 45 calories.

Microwave:

Gently massage package to break apart the frozen contents. Place unopened bag in microwave. Do not pierce bag. Cook on high for 5 1/2 minutes. Microwave cooking times may vary. Caution: Product will be hot.

Stove-Top Skillet:

Gently massage package to break apart the frozen contents. Heat nonstick skillet over high heat for 1 minute. Add product to the skillet. Stir, Cover. Reduce heat to medium and cook for 6 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat and serve.

Chef Tip:

Fill bib lettuce and top with cashews for simple lettuce wraps!

Path of Life Riced Cauliflower Blend with Peas, Carrots, and Red Bell Pepper

We had a really bad thunderstorm blow through here a few days ago and our power went out for several hours. Thankfully we have a generator that we can run for a short period of time. Due to the storm we elected to prepare the product in our microwave which was easy to do.

For serving…my husband made us veggie burgers on the grill with toasted buns. We served the Path of Life (not so fried) Riced Cauliflower Blend with Peas, Carrots, and Red Bell Pepper on the side. Between the veggie burgers and the Riced Cauliflower Blend it was a very hearty meal. One thing that we liked about it was that it was moist and flavorful. It wasn’t dried out, lumpy or crunchy. I think it would make an excellent salad topping too!

I do enjoy riced cauliflower. This blend makes it easy to serve since it comes with other vegetables. I suppose if one uses the stove top skillet method one could add a little oil and fry it up!

I have never tried Path of Life foods. That looks good. I think I will pick up a bag next time and try them. Thank you for the review.
