Homemade Cookies ‘n Creme Cookies
A few months ago my local grocery store had the Hershey’s Cookies ‘n Creme Baking Chips on sale for 75% off. These baking chips are usually hard to find due to being produced as a limited edition. Since they were 75% off I purchased 4 bags of them and brought them home. You can store your baking chips in the freezer until you need them.
The Hershey’s Cookies ‘n Creme Baking Bits is a combination of Hershey’s Premier White Chips and Chocolate Cookie Bits. You will need an entire 9 oz. bag to make this cookie recipe.
Cookies ‘n Creme Cookies Recipe
non-stick baking spray
6 Tbsp. butter or margarine, melted
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 medium egg
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1 3/4 cups Hershey’s Cookies ‘n Creme Baking Bits
Preheat oven 350 degrees F. Lightly spray baking sheet with non-stick baking spray. Set aside.
In a mixing bowl beat together the butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, medium egg and vanilla extract until creamy.
In a mixing bowl sift together the all-purpose flour, baking soda and salt. Just until they’re combined together.
Pour the flour mixture into your first bowl. Use an electric mixer to mix all of the ingredients together. The batter will be wet and sticky to the touch. Use a large spoon to stir in the Hershey’s Cookies ‘n Creme Baking Bits until well distributed throughout the cookie batter.
Drop batter by rounded tablespoon onto your prepared baking sheet. Place sheet into a 350 degree preheated oven and bake for 8-10 minutes. The cookies will be lightly golden on the top and the centers will spring back when touched. Remove from oven and let cool on a wire rack.
Store cookies in an airtight container. They freeze well! Just place cooled cookies in a freezer container or storage bag. Freeze for up to 3 months. You can thaw in the refrigerator or at room temperature.
