“Many people enjoy high quality honey, not only as an alternative sweetener, but for its natural antibacterial qualities and disease-fighting antioxidants. What consumers don’t know is that many mass-produced supermarket honeys are cooked and, thereby, lose their nutritional value,” says Bee K’onscious owner Matt Kollmorgen. “Every jar of Bee K’onscious is raw, unadulterated and uncooked and retains all the good stuff your body needs to fight disease.”
Bee K’onscious currently offers four varietals: Brazilian Cipo Uva, Brazilian Marmeleiro Prateado, Montana Clover and a much sought-after California Sage. The company only partners with beekeepers that maintain ethical and sustainable beekeeping practices. The company is also committed to packaging their honey in glass jars and shipping to customers using only recyclable, corrugated packaging.
For this review we received three complimentary jars of raw honey to try out for all of you. We received the following:
Organic Raw Brazilian Cipo Uva Honey – This organic honey is a light amber color with a refreshing floral odor. It has a nice sweetness to it that is a little bit fruity.
California Raw Sage Honey – This is one of the most sought after varieties that comes from California’s Sierra Nevada Range. It has a golden color to it with a mild earthy and sweet flavor to it.
Montana Raw Clover Honey – This one has a light amber color to it with a mild, sweet flavor with hints of cinnamon and vanilla. Clover honey is one of the most popular type’s with my family.
For the past few weeks we’ve been trying out all three varieties here in our home. We’ve added it as a natural sweetener into our fruit smoothies, yogurt, oatmeal, muffin and sweet bread batter, stirred into hot tea, etc. We’ve drizzled it on top of pancakes, French Toast, English Muffins, breakfast muffins, and more! Heck, I used some of the Montana Raw Clover Honey and whipped up a little batch of homemade honey butter! They’re so versatile and oh…so delicious!
Every member in my family had a different favorite. Hubby enjoyed the Organic Raw Brazilian Cipo Uva Honey, I LOVED the California Raw Sage Honey added to my beverages and loved the Montana Raw Clover drizzled on my pancakes and it was the perfect choice when I made honey butter. The flavor combination is fantastic!!! My 70 year old Mom was all over the Brazilian Cipo UVA Honey and said “This is the best honey I’ve ever used in my hot tea”. She also recommends ditching the sugar in your morning coffee and to add honey instead.

My son is a diabetic and uses honey. He says his body processes better and he can use so little of it to sweeten his coffee and tea. I know he would like to try this.
