Recently we had the opportunity to try out a complimentary pizza from American Flatbread, made from all natural ingredients. The pizza is handmade, wood-fired, thin & crispy! The flavor that we enjoyed was the Uncured Pepperoni and Uncured Bacon with homemade tomato sauce, mozzarella, white cheddar, and fresh herbs. Each pizza has 3 servings.
Directions: Keep pizza frozen until ready-to-use. Remove from freezer, remove plastic wrapping. Thaw for 15-30 minutes at room temperature or for 45 seconds in the microwave. While the pizza thaws, preheat oven to 425 degrees F. Place directly on oven rack. Bake for 5-8 minutes. The crust should be lightly crisp to the touch, the cheese bubbly. Don’t overcook. Remove from the oven, slice and serve.
We followed the directions and left the pizza thaw at room temperature for 20 minutes while the oven preheated up to the required 425 degrees F. We then placed it directly on the middle rack in our oven. It was completely done 6 minutes later. Remove it from the oven and left it cool for an additional 2-3 minutes on our pizza board before serving it.
We have tried several different varieties of pizza from American Flatbread and I have to admit…This one was our favorite so far!!! It had the perfect amount of uncured bacon and uncured pepperoni without it over-whelming the pizza. I really dislike the ones that over-load the toppings to the point I can’t taste the sauce or even chew it. American Flatbread does a great job at keeping their toppings in-check!

I do appreciate that the bacon and pepperoni are naturally cured. I do love pizza and this brand seems to be a good one.
