American Flatbread Handmade, Wood-Fired, Thin and Crispy Pizza

June 3, 2020 by Shelly

American Flatbread Handmade, Wood-Fired, Thin and Crispy PizzaTwice a month my family enjoys getting together for a family movie night. During our get-together’s we like to serve pizza, barbecue wings, French fries, onion rings and of course, popcorn!

American Flatbread is a company tucked away in the White Mountains of New England where artisan bakers work an earthen oven formed with clay. Here, from the union of fire, rock and the finest all natural ingredients comes a carefully prepared handmade flatbread that is truly nutritious, light, crisp, flavorful and wonderfully convenient.

Recently we had the opportunity to try out a complimentary pizza from American Flatbread, made from all natural ingredients. The pizza is handmade, wood-fired, thin & crispy! The flavor that we enjoyed was the Savory REVOLUTION with mushrooms, caramelized onions, and homemade tomato sauce. Each pizza contains 3 servings, 1/3 of the pizza with approximately 360 calories per serving.

American Flatbread Savory Revolution Mushroom Pizza

Directions: Keep pizza frozen until ready-to-use. Remove from freezer, remove plastic wrapping. Thaw for 15-30 minutes at room temperature or for 45 seconds in the microwave. While the pizza thaws, preheat oven to 425 degrees F.  Place directly on oven rack. Bake for 5-8 minutes. The crust should be lightly crisp to the touch, the cheese bubbly. Don’t overcook. Remove from the oven, slice and serve.

We followed the directions and left the pizza thaw at room temperature for 20 minutes while the oven preheated up to the required 425 degrees F. We then placed it directly on the middle rack in our oven. It was completely done 7 minutes later. Remove it from the oven and left it cool for an additional 2-3 minutes on our pizza board before serving it.

This pizza had the perfect flavor combination between the tomato sauce, caramelized onions, mushrooms and cheese. We don’t like our’s swimming in a ton of tomato sauce which drowns out the other flavors. This one had the PERFECT amount of sauce and plenty of sliced mushrooms. The crust was crispy but not too hard. It baked evenly and was absolutely DELICIOUS! It was better than expected for sure!!!

American Flatbread offers a wide variety of pizza flavors: Twisted 6 Cheese, Uncured Pepperoni & Uncured Bacon, Basil Pesto & Feta, Sausage & Cheese, Chicken & Pesto, Cheese & Herb, Savory Revolution with Mushrooms, and more. You can find regular, gluten-free and vegan varieties too! Use the store locator on their website to find a location near you and connect with the brand on Facebook to learn more.

This is the first time I have heard of this company. I like the range of toppings they offer. I also like a thin pizza crust.

I like the choices of toppings that they offer. I would like to try the basil pesto & feta. That one sounds so good.

I just looked and the local Whole Foods carries these. I like this Revolution pizza. Now I have to see about picking up groceries there.

I am baking a frozen pizza for dinner tonight but mine doesn’t look nearly this good. I would so love to try one of their pizzas. I would especially like the wood fired taste and the thin crust. I don’t think these are available in my area but I will keep an eye out.
