Rice Krispies Treats with Milk Chocolate M&M’s

May 23, 2020 by Jenelle

Rice Krispies Treats with Milk Chocolate M&M'sHow many of you love eating Rice Krispies Treats? I’ve loved them since I was a little girl. My mom used to make them for me all of the time by using Kellogg’s Rice Krispies Cereal and then a few years later Kellogg’s started selling them in snack bar form. My mom was happy about that because she used to get tired of making them for me.

Now that I’m a mom to two children I still love them and have introduced my children to them too! We enjoy eating the classic Rice Krispies Treats, the ones smothered in a layer of milk chocolate and now the new ones that are out in the retail marketplace with the Mini M&M’s have taken us by storm.

Rice Krispies Treats with Milk Chocolate M&M's

As a busy working mom I don’t have a lot of time to whip them up from scratch, so I admit that I often purchase them by the box at our local grocery store or from Amazon. Yes, Amazon where they’re shipped straight to my front door. What a time saver that is.

Kellogg’s Rice Krispies Treats are the perfect grab-n-go snack and you’ll often find me packing them into my children’s backpacks for an after-school snack. They’re shelf stable, need no refrigeration, and come individually packaged. They have just the right amount of sweetness to satisfy your cravings.

How many of you enjoy eating these tasty treats? Do you have a favorite flavor? Do you prefer the homemade version (made from scratch) or do you prefer the store bought varieties? Personally, I like them all and will eat them all!

I used to make Rice Krispie treats with M & M’s. I did not realize that they were now in stores. I do like that they come in a mini size.

We enjoy these treats and I make them from scratch about once a year but buy them other times. My favorite are the ones covered with chocolate.

I like them better freshly homemade. Maybe the snack ones I’ve tried were just past their good date.
