Yesterday my daughter sat down to talk with me about school. They were released from school in early March with no return for the remainder of this school year. She’s been doing all of her studies online which has been okay, but she misses her friends. This year she was looking forward to graduating elementary school with a graduation ceremony & end of year school dance. All of that is gone. She’ll never be able to enjoy that.

After talking with her I realized that it’s the same way for High School Seniors and College Graduates. They missed out on some very special times in their lives. Things are different. Yes. But we all need to be grateful that we’re healthy and alive.

It is sad that kids are missing so much , but we need to keep everyone healthy. At least they can communicate with devices. This week I am looking forward to all the post on arts, crafts and cooking.

  2. My grandkids are really missing their friends and activities. So many special occasions that will be missed and cant be made up but they are well and healthy and that is what we try to keep in mind.

My sister has two granddaughters in their senior year of high school. We feel so sad they are missing some of the things that made memories that we still cherish. It really is sad. My staying in the home the past 8 weeks doesn’t seem so bad now. I still have my memories.
