Time for our monthly MAILBOX MONDAY for May 2020. The first Monday of every month you’ll see our Mailbox Monday Meme. It will cover the previous month and we invite all of our readers to participate. If you’re a blogger, you can participate too by sharing our MEME on your blog.
The Mailbox Monday Meme is about celebrating all of those fun things we get in our mailbox every month! These items can be giveaways/contest prizes that you won, freebie samples you snagged from the internet, gifts you received from loved ones, etc. What doesn’t it include? Yucky bills.
Last month was a pretty good mailbox month for our household. Hubby entered a giveaway on Facebook and won a free oil change which he’s going to use when he takes the car in for inspection next month. Along with that GC for the free oil change he received a car cleaning kit that’s loaded with cleaning products.
It was a pretty good month for me too! I entered a giveaway on Instagram and won a $100 GC to one of my favorite stores. After browsing around I redeemed it on 2 new pairs of women’s Skechers sneakers. It’s my favorite brand and the ONLY sneaker that’s comfortable on my feet. I selected 2 pairs and they’ll last me all year. Yay for me!!!

I do not like to tag people , so I have not entered many giveaways which require that. I have won a couple of Schick blades, and one form you. I received some free items too.
I have gotten nothing but bills or meds 🙂 Contests and giveaways have been brutal. No kidding, my last ‘win’ was 4 months ago The win 4 months ago was also a bear to get taken care of- seems like sponsors are dropping the ball left and right (not the bloggers) I would love to get something in the mail soon!
I love your wins though- nice shoes and they look comfy. I only have instagram through a Chrome app. I can folow and comment but not post or even get messages. Lots seem to be going to instagram.
We don’t post on IG anymore. It’s out of control. We had other bloggers stalking us, leaving rude comments, contacting our sponsors to participate with them and other nonsense. We still have the IG account but haven’t posted anything new on it for many months.
You guys are lucky–great prizes! Most of the social media giveaways I see have the requirement that you must tag someone else in order to enter, and I’m not really comfortable doing that; I don’t feel it’s right for me to call someone’s name publicly just because I want to win something. I love the giveaways that don’t require tagging, but I haven’t won anything in quite some time. Congrats on your goodies!
We refuse to tag someone other than each other in those type’s of giveaways in posts. We have people tag us and you know what? We unfriend them or block them. It’s rude and annoying that people do that.
Your family has such good fortune with the Facebook and Instagram giveaways. I have never gotten anything from them. I can hardly find any either. I am glad you got some good shoes for the the year. They are so pretty.
Since I’ve been hunkered down at home it would have been nice to get some things in the mail. Unfortunately the only things I’ve got in the mail are things I sent for. I did get an email today for some hand cream, but that will have to wait until next month’s mailbox Monday.
