Land of Little Horses is a performing animals theme park located in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. The park is open seasonally and their hours vary depending on the season. You’ll want to visit their website and/or Facebook page for the most up-to-date information and operating schedule.
Over the past 5 years I’ve taken my kids to Land of Little Horses a few times. Every time we visit the park gets better and better. There is always something new to see and my children look forward to our visits.

When visiting you’ll see miniature horses, chickens, ponies, alpaca, full-size horses, goats, sheep, pigs, peacocks, etc. Tickets range from $12.95 to $15.95 per person. Season passes are available for $49.95 per person. If you live nearby and want to visit frequently, I would recommend picking up season passes to help save money. Parking is free. Open rain or shine!
There is a small on-site (air-conditioned) restaurant where you can pick up a bite to eat: subs, pizza, burgers, fries, snack wraps, salads, soft pretzels, nachos, ice cream, etc. Plus, shopping in their gift shop is always a lot of fun!
A few tips to know before you go:
Dress appropriately for the current weather conditions and wear comfortable walking shoes. You’ll be doing a lot of walking! Bring along sunscreen and bug spray. Apply both before entering the park. Do not feed the animals as this endangers their health & safety. Follow all park rules and guidelines.
I would recommend allowing at least 2 hours in your schedule when visiting. This will allow you to see everything that the park has to offer. It’s fun for the entire family and its a great way for children to get up close & personal with several different animal species.
I too would love to visit this park. Next year I would also like to take my grandchildren there.
