Calming Aid Essential Oil Spray for Dogs from The Pet Gourmet

With the help of the shelter’s Behavioral Specialist, we’ve developed some strategies for helping Nick with his crazy bouts and his resource guarding, and now we’ve added the Calming Aid Essential Oil Spray as an extra layer of comfort for our little guy. I often work with Nick by sitting with him, stroking him gently, and crooning to him that he’s a good calm dog, so applying the Calming Aid spray is now part of that routine. Following the instructions on the label, I spray a small amount onto my hands then rub Nick’s chest and the tips of his ears, where he can breathe in the scent of the special blend of essential oils. Alternatively, I sometimes spray Nick’s bandana. Either way, Nick does seem more relaxed after the spray is applied, and he smells nice, too. Plus, I feel good knowing that Nick is becoming more and more comfortable as part of our family.
