Easy Spicy Chicken Wings Recipe

April 28, 2020 by Shelly

Easy Spicy Chicken Wings RecipeMy husband loves chicken wings and would probably eat them 5 days a week if I made them. They’re one of his favorite foods! He doesn’t care if they’re made on the barbecue grill, in the oven, the deep fryer or prepared in our air fryer. While I like mine juicy and sweet…he likes his with a fiery heat.

The recipe that I’m sharing with you can be adjusted to suit your own taste bud preferences. Mix up the sauce ingredients and do a little taste-test before you toss in the wings. If you need more heat…add additional hot sauce. If you would like it a little sweeter…add additional brown sugar.

Easy Spicy Chicken Wings Recipe

2 lbs. chicken wings
2 Tbsp. garlic powder
1 Tbsp. sea salt
1 Tbsp. ground black pepper
1 Tbsp. brown sugar
1 to 2 Tbsp. ground paprika
2 to 3 Tbsp. hot sauce
2-3 Tbsp. barbecue sauce
1/4 cup lemon juice
1/4 cup vegetable oil

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil. Set aside.

In a large mixing bowl combine together all of the ingredients tossing the chicken wings until they’re well-coated. Cover bowl. Place in refrigerator for 1 to 3 hours. Remove and let sit at room temperature for 10 minutes while your oven is preheating.

Place chicken wings on your prepared baking sheet in a single layer. Bake in a preheated oven for 40 to 45 minutes or until done. Remove. Let them sit on the baking sheet for an additional 5 minutes before serving.

I just made chicken wings for the first time in many years. Used Rays BBQ sauce and did them in the oven. They were delicious.

I like them a little sweet, too. I like a little heat, but I don’t want food to hurt, lol.

We love Sweet Baby Rays Sauce. We use it all the time on all sorts of dishes. We love wings too. Thank you for the recipe.
