5 Creative Card-Making Ideas You Should Try this Easter

April 12, 2020 by Sam H.

Happy EasterSpring has finally sprung, and Easter is right around the corner. That means if you haven’t thought of any cute Easter gifts to give, yet there is no need to worry. We’ve got you covered.

Who doesn’t love to receive a cute Easter card that is in the shape of an egg or resembles a cute bunny? Receiving an Easter card could be just what your family and friends need to cheer them up during this period of quarantine.

Here we are going to give you 5 Easter ideas for card making that will genuinely help to evoke the true spirit of spring.

Creative Ideas for Card Making

There are tons of designs you can choose from when it comes to making captivating Easter cards. But, none of them are going to be as cute or fun to make as the card ideas that we give you below.

Easter Chick Invitations

To make Easter chick invitations, you will need an Easter card maker that helps you design the outside of the Easter bunny card. With this tool, you can play around with colors, patterns, and fonts until you reach the perfect bunny design.

Print out the card and punch out the bunnies.

Using the bunnies you punched out, embellish the front of the card and use other punched pieces to decorate the card. Use the card to invite all of your family and friends to a virtual Easter egg candy hunt.

An invitation will set the tone and provide some cheer for Easter festivities.

Easter Egg Fabric Card

To make this card, use any leftover bits of paper, ribbon, trim, button, and fabric that you have lying around. Cut an egg-shaped hole on the front side of the card.

Next, using a form of an adhesive, stick the patterned fabric or paper inside of the card. Then decorate the fabric with trim and buttons as you see fit.

Bunny Card

Here comes Peter Cotton Tail hopping right on to the front of this next card we want you to make. You will need to choose your favorite patterned paper and find a bunny hole punch.

Cut out 3 bunnies on the patterned paper and set them aside for later. Next, fold a 5 by 7 card in the color of your choice and stick a crosshatch rectangle on the front of the card. After doing this, find a small piece of ribbon and adhere it in the middle of the rectangle.

Once the ribbon has dried, place the bunnies that you previously cut out onto the ribbon.

Spring Time Card

Spring is all about the blooming of flowers that were absent during the wintertime. Using a flower punch, cut out a variety of flowers in different shapes, sizes, and patterns.

Then choose a piece of paper that reflects a bright spring color and take the flowers that you cut out adhering them to the front of the card.

Daisy Chain Cutout

This card requires some skillful cutting to take place. Carefully cut a chain of daisies out of cardstock using a utility knife or crafting scissors.

The cutout will create a beautiful wreath that can be adhered to the front of a card in the color of your choosing.

Time to Make Cards

Using these ideas for card making, you’re bound to end up with creative designs that will add some joy to your Easter holiday. We can’t wait to see what you come up with for your Easter cards!

These are all good ideas. MY granddaughter is not yet 3 years old, so she did need a lot of help to make cards for Mommy and daddy. However, she enjoyed it a lot.

Very cute idea. This would make a good craft project for kids who need something to keep them busy. I always love handmade cards and have kept all of them I have gotten from kids.
