Have you ever seen an optical illusion and asked yourself, “How did they do that?” The decorative elements in spiral drawings create the illusion that they were drawn with curved lines, when in reality, they consist of straight lines. Spiral drawings may look intimidating, but with just a little guidance, they can easily be achieved!

Title: The Art of Spiral Drawing: Learn to create spiral art and geometric drawings using pencil, pen, and more

I’m one of those people who enjoy adult coloring books so this book really peeked my interest. I thought…these designs look a lot like the ones I see in my coloring books so why not try drawing them myself & then coloring them in!
The front of the book gives you basic instructions on how to get started and then moves into the projects that are featured. The author does a great job of providing step-by-step instructions so that you can replicate each design. Once you master the techniques you can branch out and make your own artistic designs. Some projects are easier than others…I love a good challenge. Don’t you?
Another cool thing is that you don’t need to run out and buy expensive supplies. I was able to hit up my local “dollar-type of store” to pick up paper, regular pencils, colored pencils, etc. I already own a great set of gel ink pens that I purchased from Amazon which got me started.
If you enjoy adult coloring books I think you’ll really enjoy The Art of Spiral Drawing! It’s a great addition to your coloring and drawing book collection.
