St. Patrick’s Day Painted Seashells Party Favors

March 7, 2020 by Shelly

St. Patrick's Day Painted Seashells Party FavorsHosting a St. Patrick’s Day party this year? Need some party favors or table-top decorations? If so, I’ve got an easy craft project for you! You can make up several of these St. Patrick’s Day Painted Seashells in just 2 afternoons and they won’t cost you a lot of money. You’ll need to collect some seashells from the beach or purchase them from your local craft supply store.

In regards to the supplies needed, the list is per party favor. You’ll need to figure out how many you would like to make to come up with the exact number of seashells that are needed. You can do the design horizontal or vertical on the shell. Check out the St. Patrick’s Day design painted seashell that we featured last year on the blog for another great idea.

Base coat each shell with 2 coats of bright yellow acrylic craft paint. Let dry. Use 3 small clam shells to form the clover. You’ll need them all to be about the same size. Paint them with 2 coats of green acrylic craft paint. Let dry.

Use the E6000 Adhesive Glue to attach them onto the large clam seashell. Let dry for about 2 hours. Use the green craft paint to make a stem for the clover. Dip the end of your paint brush into white and green acrylic paint to make the polka dot border around the perimeter of the large clam shell. Let dry until the paint is no longer tacky.

Take your painted seashells outside and spray them with 1-2 coats of clear acrylic spray sealer. We used glossy finish which gives them a nice shine. You could use matte finish if desired. Let dry for 2-3 hours. That’s it, you’re done!

Another Gorgeous painted shell.. I just love this one! The Yellow and green coloring is so eye catching. The Green Clover made out of seashells is the Topping on the cake. Beautiful work..

This is cute, but I think I prefer last year’s St.Patrick’s Day design painted seashell.
