Root’d Multivitamin Fizzy Healthy Drink Mix – Good for You and for the Planet

This innovative dietary supplement is a powder you mix with water to create a tasty, fizzy, healthy drink. It actually reminds me of those fizzy drinks I loved when I was a kid! As a bonus, it’s a lot easier to remember to take my vitamins when it’s this enjoyable. For my review, Root’d sent me a package of their Women’s Multivitamin Fizzy Healthy Drink Mix, which contains 24 individual “stick packs.” Root’d multivitamin drink mixes are available in three formulas, each in a different flavor:

• Prenatal – Lemon Ginger
• Women’s – Açai
• Men’s – Pomegranate

I can tell you that the açai flavor of the women’s drink mix is quite good. The intensity of the flavor and the amount of effervescence depends on how much water is used; the package shows a scale ranging from 4 ounces of water (strongest) to 12 ounces (weakest). I usually aim for the middle, with about 8 ounces of water to a packet of drink mix, which provides a nice flavor and light fizziness.

Each serving of Root’d Multivitamin Fizzy Healthy Drink Mix provides essential vitamins and minerals as well as probiotics, electrolytes, and enzymes. As Root’d says, “We went beyond daily values, to give you 25 researched-based nutrients your body needs every day in an easy to absorb, non-pill-choking, non-sugar gummy chewing, tasty formula.” The unusual yellowish-green color of the drink is due to the super greens and turmeric in the mix, and there are little red specks from the natural flavoring and lutein. It’s non-GMO and vegetarian-friendly, and it’s free of caffeine, gluten, dairy, soy, and allergens, too.

As if that’s not enough, Root’d is also working to make sure their product is good for the Earth, something that’s nice to know as we approach the 50th anniversary of Earth day on April 22.
