How many of you plan a spring break vacation? For those of you who do where do you like to go? My BFF and her family go take a trip down South every year during spring break. We like to spend the time locally doing fun things with the kids and day trips to see different things around our state. There’s a lot to explore in Pennsylvania. We typically take our first big vacation of the year in June and head down to the beach. Looking forward to that.

The Mouse Has Been Caught and Evicted!

The Mouse Has Been Caught and Evicted!

Last weekend was a pretty stressful weekend in our house. Why? Well, we discovered that a mouse had moved into our newly remodeled sun room. I don’t like rodents…not as a pets and certainly not in the wild. They gross me out! I had walked

7 Must-Have Craft Room Adhesives and Glues

7 Must-Have Craft Room Adhesives and Glues

7 Must-Have Craft Room Adhesives and GluesI’ve been crafting for 40 years and have an official craft room in my home. I enjoy dabbling in all kinds of different crafting mediums from needlework to woodwork, paper crafts to beading, and everything in between. Over the years I’ve learned that there are certain supplies that I always need to have on hand and I learned which brands work best for the job. Here’s what I personally recommend.

7 Must-Have Craft Room Adhesives and Glues

Gorilla Glue – I use this one for all sorts of different things. It’s great for bonding plastic, rubber, leather, vinyl, wood, ceramic and more! When buying I recommend getting the bottle with the precision tip and the formula that dries clear.

Aleene’s All-Purpose Tacky Glue – I’m never without a bottle of this! You can use it with paper, fabric, beads, string-art, glass, ceramic, etc. I like that it dries clear and can be used for gobs of different crafting projects. Plus…it’s non-toxic and kid-friendly.

E6000 Adhesive Glue

E-6000 Adhesive – This is one of my favorite glues & adhesives! It’s great on wood, glass, ceramic, metal, rubber, leather, vinyl, beads, mosaic tiles, mirrors, seashells, etc. I use a lot of this adhesive and I love that its super-strong and dries fairly quickly. It’s one of the BEST!!!

Hot Glue Gun and Glue Sticks – Every craft (and household for that matter) should own a mini hot glue gun and glue sticks. They’re great for small jobs and when you need to glue something together quickly. I don’t recommend it though for outdoor projects, items that will be exposed to heat and/or cold, glass, metal, or fabrics. Just for general crafting and household repairs.

Elmer’s Wood Glue – When it comes to wood crafts that’s mostly my husband cutting and assembling things for me. He recommends and uses this product for all of the wood crafts that we make. He likes the strong bond that he gets when he uses it.

Aleene's No-Sew Fabric Glue

Aleene’s No-Sew Fabric Glue – I like to keep a bottle of this around for when I need to tack fabric together quickly, when making mending repairs, etc. It’s perfect for when you’re in a hurry and it dries clear.

Glue Stick for Paper – Everyone who enjoys paper crafts needs a good glue stick that’s made specifically for paper! I use these glue sticks when scrapbooking, making handcrafted greeting cards, paper bookmarks, to & from tags, etc. Dries quickly with no oozing!

To keep all of my products organized I purchased a plastic bin (the size of a shoe box) with lid from my local Dollar Tree store. I labeled the front with the words GLUES & ADHESIVES. It’s the perfect size to sit on a shelf or in a cabinet. Plus, if you have any “spills” they’re easy to clean up. Please keep all products like these out of the reach of children and your pets!
