Grandma Lucy’s sent us two 14-ounce packages of Organic Oven Baked Treats to review, one Blueberry Recipe and one Cranberry Recipe. They also sent us a 6-ounce package of their Pumpkin Pouch Skin & Coat Support Supplement, which provides nutritional benefits when added to my dogs’ regular dog food. All three Grandma Lucy’s products are big hits with Nick and Otis, and with me, too, since I know that they’re actually good for my precious doggos.
Truth time: When I first opened the packages, the Cranberry and Blueberry treats smelled so good that I had to taste them. Yes, I went there. And they are delicious! I’m actually kind of jealous of the dogs (but now I understand how they feel when I’m eating a hamburger—LOL!).
You see, Grandma Lucy’s makes all of their foods from the highest quality ingredients they can find, many sourced locally to their facility in Rancho Santa Margarita, California. As they put it, “Your dog will love the great taste of our Organic Oven-Baked Dog Treats, but what you will love most is the fact that they are made with organic, human-quality ingredients.” They’re also the cutest dog treats ever, shaped like happy little teddy bears.
Both of my dogs go so crazy for these treats that I have to hide the bags on the upper shelves of my pantry. Otis and Nick are both pretty spoiled and expect treats fairly frequently, but I have never seen them react to anything the way they snap to attention when the Grandma Lucy’s treats come out. Fortunately, the where-to-buy page at the company’s website shows several locations not too far from me that sell Grandma Lucy’s products, so my pups will be able to continue to enjoy their new favorite treats.
The Pumpkin Pouch Skin & Coat Support Supplement also got Otis and Nick’s stamp of approval. This freeze-dried product can be sprinkled on their food as-is or rehydrated with warm water and either added to their food or given separately. I’ve been topping their dinners with rehydrated Pumpkin Pouch, and they absolutely love it. Pumpkin Pouch supplements can be given to cats, too, and they’re also available in Digestive, Bladder, and Inflammation formulas.
In addition to the treats and supplements we tried, Grandma Lucy’s has several other product lines, including dog and cat food and meal replacements such as a grain-free diet, a low-glycemic index line, superfoods, and anti-inflammatory food. You can learn more about the company and their award-winning products at their website, where you can also buy their products directly and enjoy savings from their reward programs. Visit them on Facebook for news, giveaways, and animal cuteness.
