Easy Bacon Wrapped Scallops Recipe
How many of you enjoy eating seafood? We do! Hubby and I try to eat seafood and shellfish about twice a week. We’re fortunate that we only live 4 hours from the coast and can readily buy fresh seafood from several different markets. The majority of the time we buy wild caught and from local sources.
These easy bacon wrapped scallops are the perfect appetizer or busy weeknight dinner. From start to finish…you can make them in less than 35 minutes and they’re delicious! A big hit every time we make them.

Easy Bacon Wrapped Scallops Recipe
16 Fresh Sea Scallops
8 Slices of Bacon, Cut in Half
2-3 Tablespoons Brown Sugar
Olive Oil
Salt and Black Pepper to Taste
Wooden Toothpicks
(optional) Old Bay Seasoning
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil or a silicone baking mat.
Rinse scallops under tap water. Use paper towels to blot off excess water. Sprinkle a little bit of brown sugar (just a tad) on the scallop and then wrap it with a half slice of bacon. Secure bacon slice with a wooden toothpick. Place on baking sheet and repeat the process.
Drizzle olive oil on top of each one. Sprinkle salt and ground black pepper on top. If desired, you can also sprinkle a little bit of Old Bay Seasoning on top.
Place baking sheet into a preheated 375 degree oven. Bake for 15-17 minutes or until scallops are opaque in color and the bacon is cooked through. It should be crispy but not overly so. Remove from oven and let them sit on the baking sheet for an additional 1-2 minutes. Remove and place on a serving tray or plate. Serve warm.
