Béla Herb-Infused Wellness Drink, Tasty and Healthy, Too
If you’re looking for a beverage that not only tastes good but is actually good for you, you’ll be interested to hear about Béla Herb-Infused Wellness Drink. This innovative bottled drink is made from a proprietary herb blend with minerals and Vitamin C, and according to its makers, it was “designed specifically to enable and support holistic mind-and-body goals, as exemplified by Yoga.” The tagline “Harmony in Hydration” complements that philosophy.

For this review, I received two varieties of Béla: Unsweetened—No Added Flavor, and Elegant Tropical. Both contain a blend of what’s described as “six ancient herbs” as well as antioxidants and minerals, including turmeric, tulsi (holy basil), ginger, and amla (Indian gooseberry), with potassium, magnesium, and Vitamin C. The Elegant Tropical also has natural mango, passionfruit, and tangerine flavors, and is lightly sweetened with stevia extract. Since I’m a big fan of tropical fruits, I reached first for a bottle of Elegant Tropical, and I was not disappointed. It’s full-bodied, with a light sweetness offset by a touch of acidity. The Unsweetened Béla is also very good, which was a pleasant surprise for me; I usually drink sweetened beverages, so I expected that I wouldn’t like the Unsweetened drink, but the herbs and flavorings bring their own natural sweetness to the party. I found both varieties to be quite refreshing, and knowing that they provide natural health benefits is a nice bonus.
Béla is best when chilled, and it’s delicious over ice. It should be well-shaken before drinking to ensure that all the goodness is evenly diffused, and I found that shaking the bottle or swirling the glass every now and again helped, too. Béla is gluten-free, caffeine-free, sugar-free, and vegan, and it’s made from non-GMO ingredients. To me, both flavors are great thirst-quenchers, and I think they’d be perfect after working outside on a hot summer day.
The story behind Béla Herb-Infused Wellness Drink is pretty interesting, too. It was developed by a couple from India in their “home studio in Atlanta, Georgia, out of a need to find holistic means to manage a stressful working life.” Its roots are based in an ancient Indian holistic healing system called Ayurveda, bringing wellness through a balance of mind, body, and spirit. They say, “We combine ancient wisdom and modern science to develop products that provide unique hydration and benefits for an active and healthy lifestyle.” I wish I had room here to tell you more about it, but you can read the whole story at Béla’s website.
Interested in trying Béla for yourself? You can find it on Amazon (in fact, at the time of this writing, there’s a discount coupon on Amazon for a mixed 12-pack). If you live in the company’s home state of Georgia, you’ll be glad to know that it’s available at many stores and yoga suppliers there. Look for links at Béla’s website, and check out Béla on Facebook, too.
